Meet our Roaster!

Paul started his obsession with fine coffee researching coffee service options for Pineland Bakery in Waynesboro, GA, a job he held for approximately 8 years. During his time at Pineland Bakery, he was privileged to learn and assist in most of the operations, from retail sales, to marketing, social media, product development, and baking. Eventually, Paul and Naomi moved their family to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in February of 2014. After a year-long stint managing an auto repair office as the customer service manager, Paul was hired as the store manager of a brand-new coffee shop in downtown Harrisonburg. Over the next two years, Paul found a great deal of joy working alongside  his team of baristas, training new staff, and serving delicious coffee to the community. As he grew in his love for the local community, he also pursued a greater knowledge of business management, leadership development, and growth in his understanding of specialty coffee. Paul began experimenting with coffee roasting at home, and soon found himself fielding requests from friends and family for fresh-roasted coffee beans. Realizing this could be the opportunity he'd been waiting for for almost a decade, Paul decided it was time to begin working towards establishing a local coffee roasting business. This website and webstore are just the beginning; Paul is already dreaming about opening a coffee shop/bakery where he can serve his adopted community coffee that he has roasted.
